The Ministry of Interior, under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, has issued new executive regulations outlining updated fees for entry visas, visit visas, and residence permits for expatriates in Kuwait.
Entry & Visit Visa Fees
- All entry visas—including employment (government or private), domestic workers, commercial activities, family reunion, study, investor visas, and temporary government or oil-sector work—are set at 10 KD.
- Visit visas of all types (government, business, family, private, medical, tourism, commercial, cultural, and social) are charged 10 KD per month.
- Transit visas, entry for transport drivers, and emergency entry visas also carry a 10 KD fee.
Residence Permit Fees
- 20 KD per year for government employees, private-sector employees, and students.
- 10 KD per year for domestic workers.
- 50 KD per year for foreign business partners, investors, and property owners.
- 500 KD per year for self-sponsored residency permits.
Family / Dependent Residence Fees
- 20 KD for a spouse or child when sponsored by a government employee, private-sector employee, or student.
- 40 KD when the sponsor is a foreign partner, investor, property owner, or religious figure.
- 100 KD when the sponsor holds a self-sponsored residence permit.
- 300 KD for relatives other than spouse and children.
