Qatar’s vaccination programme on Saturday crossed a major milestone with 90.2 percent of the country’s eligible population — 12 years and above — receiving at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has said.
With 90 percent of the eligible population receiving the vaccine, the ministry is just days away from vaccinating the country’s entire eligible population, if all of those who are eligible come forward to get vaccinated.
The MoPH said 76.2 percent of the eligible population have received two doses of the vaccine. When it comes to the total population, 77.9 percent have received at least one dose and 66.1 percent received two doses, the ministry said.
As many as 9,578 doses of COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total doses given out in the country so far to 4,076,666.
